Bicentennial Man Yearns to be Human

Bicentennial Man is a Humanoid that Yearns to be Human
Ironically, Humanoido is a Human that Yearns to be Humanoid

The Bicentennial Man is a robot that yearns to be human. By a twist of ironic fate, Humanoido is a human that yearns to be a robot.

Bicentennial Man is a robot story adapted from Isaac Asimov (and a novel by Asimov and Robert Silverberg). It follows the 200-year life (beginning in the year 2005) of a robot who yearns to be human and over two centuries metamorphoses from machine into man. By the end of the movie, the robot, named Andrew, has shed his metallic shell, acquired a central nervous system and turned into Robin Williams. Unfortunately, becoming human had a terrible side effect known to all humans - death. If Humanoido, a human, can transform into a machine, the possibility of extending life or living eternally exists.

Bicentennial Man is a 1999 American science fiction comedy-drama film starring Robin Williams, Sam Neill, Embeth Davidtz (in a dual role), Wendy Crewson, and Oliver Platt. Based on the 1992 novel The Positronic Man by Isaac Asimov and Robert Silverberg (which is itself based on Asimov's original 1976 novelette "The Bicentennial Man"), the plot explores issues of humanity, slavery, prejudice, maturity, intellectual freedom, conformity, sex, love, mortality and eternal life.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicentennial_Man_(film)
