is the era of grand exploration of inner space found inside a chip,
notably the Parallax Propeller chip. Inner Space is a broad category and is now expanded beyond the microscopic to include mesoscopic, nanoscopic, and the quantum world.

There is no rigid definition for mesoscopic physics, but the systems studied are normally in the range of 100 nm (the size of a typical virus) to 1 000 nm (the size of a typical bacterium). 100 nanometers is the approximate upper limit for a nanoparticle. (Mesoscopic Space does not yet appear on the Big Brain Space Exploration Chart, although space exploration overlaps this region.)
