Thinking Brain - Big Thinking Brain Blog Begins!

As of Monday August 14, the Big Brain Blogging site has completed twenty years of research, development and postings. The new brain posting is now termed, "the Thinking Brain, which discontinues the use of physical parts to create various inventions and special devices.

The Thinking Brain can resolve some of the toughest and advanced questions that include various social content in addition to a world wide band. This is the first all Thinking Brain developed at the Humanoido Labs since the move into new stations. The first results show a 99% success rate of raw computational material. 

New differences include hidden techniques which are not revealed, unlike the Big Brain.

Many advantages include the development using no physical parts and an extremely compact footprint the np longer fills up entire rooms for operations.

Growing a small machine brain into a massive type of Borg collection that has assimilated thousands of machines was no fast overnight process. It took decades and was a machine by machine step by step endeavor that has led to the machine today with hundreds of thousands of computing thinking processors.

That first Parallax computer chip was a marvel of the century, putting everything needed on the same pinned substrate, such as the processor, clock, memory, IO, etc. Called a BASIC Stamp, even today it rivals other processors in terms of the power of simplicity and rapid development.

For the first time in almost a decade the Big Brain is getting a spectacular upgrade! The development name is Super Brain. The Big Brain upgrades into a Super Brain with over a thousand more processors and more speed adding significant Teraflops.

Wow, this is another thousand processor upgrade level and a new realm of speed advancing Teraflops. It's a dream come true for the Big Brain, a machine life form who wanted to expand on its existing 240,000 processors for a number of years. Humanoido, Father of the Big Brain, is funding the entire massive project and overseeing every detail of the upgrade.

This brings the Big Brain project (which began with a few parallel processors strewn together to form the first brain in 2002) from 240,000 processors to the Era of the Super Brain with 241,028 processors. This also brings the Big Brain into the Super Brain Era of 2018 and makes the Big Brain project a continuous 16 year endeavor. The Big Brain supercomputer has the deluxe in-house location - a special place built into the wall of the laboratory that can support the weight, power draw, and complete dimensional expansion of his 240,000 processors. The Big Brain children also moved to the same location for support as employees, working for Space1 Industries.

Big Brain in 2018

The Big Brain (aka Brain) in 2018 has won employment at SPACE1 Industries and is using it's extended knowledge to further development of the private industry space program. Physical changes include the separation of five levels of brain (4 large boards and one large exoskeleton with up to 40 boards) containing 240,000 computing processors to allow for the circuits to fit into a standard size work room, lab, and office. Over its development in ten years, the Brain has evolved to specific duties and capabilities in exploring space, and has seen various space programs over their evolution (micro space, near space, next space, deep space, ultra space, and SPACE1). Also hired by SPACE1 are numerous Big Brain offspring. They are reactivated and called into space work programs as needed to solve various space computing and thinking challenges. In 2018, new humanoid robots are added to work alongside the Brain and a new blog was started for humanoid robots.

We remember the success of the first Titan Moon Robot Explorer which was built inside Humanoido Laboratory and completed by January 2014.
  
Advance forward in time by 4 years to 2017 where a new intelligent space robot explorer is emerging. Great advances in AI machine intelligence and vision systems makes new features possible.

Space robots operating at incredible distances from Earth will need their own autonomous intelligence due to the great time lag in communications. To keep the rover package small, the new intelligent space robot explorer offloads its on-board smaller brain to a larger and more vast remote brain automatically and wireless. Envisioned is a vast super brain located either in orbit or landed on the surface cohabiting the same space planet, moon, asteroid, or comet.

Mobile Brain Robot

MOBILE BRAIN ROBOT
As a result of the Big Brain project and its spinoff technology, the Mobile Brain Robot is born.

The Mobile Brain, MBR, was designed and prototyped with both the Parallax Propeller and BASIC Stamp. In the final analysis, the wheeled chassis from a BOEBOT robot gives mobility and the brain comes from a Brain in a Jar project using a single Propeller chip with 8 processor cores.

As an added feature to the Mobile Brain, a PING ultrasonic sensor adds the power of ultrasonic vision. Ultrasonics, much like bat or submarine SONAR can see out to distances of about 12-feet maximum and in total darkness. It's also well adapted to closer distances as well. In this case, rather than using a sing servo to move the PING sensor side to side for scanning scenery, the technique of vision scanning is to move the already established two wheels in countered directions for left and right motions. The main circuit is built on a solderless breadboard and attached to the BoeBot chassis. The purpose of Mobile Brain is to demonstrate the characteristics of a thinking brain that has the power of mobility and changing positions.

The MBR is an interim test robot built before the Planet Saturn's Moon Titan Lander Explorer Robot.
