Space Robot Explorer

SPACE ROBOT EXPLORER
We remember the success of the first Titan Moon Robot Explorer which was built inside Humanoido Laboratory and completed by January 2014.
  
Advance forward in time by 4 years to 2017 where a new intelligent space robot explorer is emerging. Great advances in AI machine intelligence and vision systems makes new features possible.

Space robots operating at incredible distances from Earth will need their own autonomous intelligence due to the great time lag in communications. To keep the rover package small, the new intelligent space robot explorer offloads its on-board smaller brain to a larger and more vast remote brain automatically and wireless. Envisioned is a vast super brain located either in orbit or landed on the surface cohabiting the same space planet, moon, asteroid, or comet.

Astronauts to Mars

ASTRONAUTS TO MARS
How soon will astronauts go to Mars? Those going on the trip are now making preparations. Several groups are in the race to Mars, including private industry and NASA. China wants to do everything on their own and does not want to participate. Other countries may join in the initiative to putting the first colonists on Mars.

Aiming for Time Travel to the Future
Spacecraft don’t launch directly at Mars; that would use up too much fuel. Instead, spacecraft launch towards the point that Mars is going to be in the future. They start at Earth’s orbit, and then raise their orbit until they intersect the orbit of Mars; right when Mars is at that point. The spacecraft can then land on Mars or go into orbit around it. This journey takes about 250 days.

Looking at the Mars chart, it looks like a very popular place with many USA and Russian spacecraft orbiting and landing there. A good number have failed to reach Mars. The closest Mars is to the Earth is around 35 million miles during a close and favorable opposition. Miss the closer oppositions every two years and the aphelion distance of Mars to the Earth can be a staggering 249 million miles away. The year 2018 is a good year to arrive at Mars when it's only 35.8 million miles away.

NULT Telescope Lunar Rover

24-METER NULT TELESCOPE LUNAR ROVER OBSERVATION
FINDING THE PARKED CAR ON THE MOON! As part of the NULT New Ultra Large Telescope Pointing Suggestion Program, a request to find and image the LRV, Lunar Roving Vehicle, coined Lunar Rover, was filed. In the original request, bean writes, "I'd like to see the rover that was left on the moon."

Three manned-style rovers were left on the Moon from Apollo 15, 16 and 17. The cars were battery operated, had four wheels, and was in operation during 1971 & 1972. It was also known as the MOON BUGGY which was a play upon words Dune Buggy. Resolution of data shows the Apollo 17 Lunar Rover's shape and size, parked on the lunar surface. The Rover is relatively low in the photo and does not catch the sunlight like the surrounding crater rims and tall rock peaks and thus appears as a darker image. There was a great deal of darker lunar dust that collected on the car during use contributing to its absorption of light.

This data represents the first use of the Big Brain's Universe Penetrator and the Adjunct for examining a lunar object. The Moon is only 270,000 miles from the Earth. The Penetrator was designed for DSO's of ultra deep space with distances of billions of light years. As seen here, the Universe Penetrator, Adjunct and the NULT Telescope function well on the Moon. Data analysis is part of Big Brain's newly formed Deep Space Center DSC. Cooperation between Big Brain and NASA has made the 24-meter NULT Telescope dream a reality.
