Sentient Plant Research Identification

SENTIENT PLANT NEUROBIOLOGY
Sentient Plant Research Identification
It's a Philodendron!
The sentient plant which is currently undergoing a series of studies is now identified as a household Philodendron.

IDENTIFICATION
The "now identified" Philodendron plant species has numerous varieties and this one favors a tropical environment, set to high humidity and warm heat with indirect sunlight. As seen in the photo with six of the eight leaves visible, the plant is being raised under the hood of a warming and humidity sustaining greenhouse. The sentient plant is being maintained by Humanoido for a series of plant neurobiology and behavioral experiments.

BACKGROUND
The extremely popular Philodendron comes from a tropical South American Family, has approximately 450 known species and has a plethora of cultivars and hybrids. The two main varieties are upright clumping or vining.

ENVIRONMENT
The plant is a tropical species and happy with warmer higher humidity and moderate to bright indirect light, but not direct sun. The plant can adapt to average conditions. The plant requires well draining soil kept slightly moist but not sodden. The top inch of soil can dry out before rewatering. Beware, leaves turning yellow are a sign of overwatering.

CARE
Modest monthly feedings with a balanced fertilizer during the spring and summer growing season are generally sufficient. Generally the plant is resistant to pests but not immune. The plant is poisonous so keep it away from pets and children!
