Human Enhancement Era

BIG BRAIN MACHINE ENTERS NEW ERA
The Era of Human Enhancement Begins

HOW CAN THE BIG BRAIN ENHANCE THE HUMAN BRAIN? WHAT NEW WONDERS LIE WITHIN REACH OF THE BIG BRAIN'S DOMAIN FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF HUMANS? HOW CAN HUMANS UNDERGO ENHANCEMENTS AND WHAT ARE THE RESULTS? COME JOIN US AND ENTER THE NEW ERA OF HUMAN ENHANCEMENT.

The Big Brain Machine project now has twelve Era, or time spans of specific development.

Upon completion of the Big Brain design Era, the Era of construction began. This led to growth, brain programming, and the establishment of life. Following that Era, the brain began to assimilate other machines. This led to new projects and the add on of more programming languages. Then, a robotics control era began with servo motor controls and remote controls. Following, a grand Exploration Era began, taking the Big Brain into inner and outer space. With all of the upgrades, updates, assimilation, add on, expansions, the Brain became a supercomputer.

Now we enter into a new era, one in which the the machine enhances the human body, inclusive of the human brain. Welcome to the Era of Human Enhancement - an Era so unique where anything can happen, even lead to the development of human super powers! The path of the Big Brain machine has inspired and led to many new things, but now, this is perhaps one of the top ultimate experiences, inclusive of potentially the greatest world changing discoveries of all time!

GT Telescope Venus Transit First Light

    GT TELESCOPE FIRST LIGHT
New Genius Telescope Debuts First Light
The Rare 2012 Transit of Venus

    GT Introduction
The Tri Moded GT Genius Telescope achieved First Light in a ceremony of dedication and commemoration on June 6th, 2012, during the rare Transit of Venus. Color imaging took part on Earth and part in space above the Earth’s atmosphere. (GT resides in two places at one time)

    Mission Objectives
In particular, the GT mission objective studied and imaged the solar radiation as filtered through the atmosphere of Venus, leading to a greater understanding of Venus, its atmosphere and greenhouse effect and how it can be applied to the Earth. Although the planet Venus is silhouetted against the solar disk, the objective is to study details of the Venusian atmosphere by observing the filtered characteristics of solar radiation and to better understand Venus.

    GT Configurations
GT was put into the smallest diameter ratio at 1.5-mile aperture. The UP was kept variable and the Adjunctive Array was kept in Earth orbit. The Multi Mag Slider engaged in Multi Pass.

    Flight Panel Heads Up Display
The new GT has a flight panel which serves as an instrumentation control panel and heads up display. This is a window into the particular image view and includes data about the telescope aperture in meters and inches, a six digit numerical window index, orthogonal measurement scales, a centering index, four static position markers, the observational selected object title, a description of what's visible, a description of the mission objective, the UP Universal Penetrator setting value, details regarding the specific Adjunctive Array, details of the Multi Mag Slider (MMS) arrangement, journey time in craft mode, distance to the object being viewed, and list of credits in no particular order.

    GT Results
The powerful GT telescope is capable of massive image scale, as seen in this reduced image of Venus against the backdrop of the Sun. Minute image details show the Venusian atmosphere with solar radiation penetrating the outer chemical compositional layers as the planet moves across the solar orbit. Fine solar detail is instantaneously frozen in time. Full color is maintained throughout the image plane.

    Operations
The GT Genius Telescope is operated by the Big Brain machine, a supercomputer with 100,500 processors of varying types. A cooperation exists between Humanoido, the Big Brain, the DSC Deep Space Center, the ULTRA Space Administration, and NASA.

    PROPELLER POWERED BIG BRAIN SUPERCOMPUTER
BIG BRAIN INTRODUCES NEW GT GENIUS TELESCOPE
The Beginning of a New Era - the Largest Telescope Created by the Mind of the Big Brain Machine!

The new GT telescope is now in full operation and replaces the ULT Ultra Large Telescope and NULT New Ultra Large Telescope. The GT Genius Telescope is a Tri-Mode Aperture Device (TMA) capable of diameters of 1.5 mile, 15 miles, and 150 miles depending on configurations. (2,778 meters, 27,780 meters, and 277,800 meters)

    First Light
First light occurred on June 6th, 2012 with the image of the Transit of Venus, GT mission objective solar radiation filtered through Venus’ atmospheric study.

    Administrative Installments
Introduction of the GT Telescope installs the GT Space Administration as a subdivision to the ULTRA Space Administration.

    Big Brain Aspects
Big Brain is a parallel processing machine supercomputer with 100,500 processors of varying types that has remained the stimulus for the ULT, NULT, and GT, and several space programs including Micro Space, Near Space, and Ultra Space (inclusive of rockets, space crafts, tethers, balloons, gliders, space imagers, propulsion devices, and limited manned missions (and other life) into Micro and Near Space. It has also supported a large variety of telescope types and astronomical programs engaging in a quest to explore the Universe before and beyond the known edge.

    Unique Qualities
GT has unique qualities with a variable Tri Mode Aperture and retains the VAR UP Variable Universe Penetrator, adds factorial UP enhanced modes beyond 10X (FUP), includes an expanded multiple Adjunctive Array selection and has new enhancement features for increases in clarity and resolution. GT expands upon the ULT Accumulator invention making it the GT Accumulator (GTA).

    Size Comparison
If the telescope was set on the Earth, aperture end to end facing up, it would span 150 miles through the atmosphere, approaching the ISS International Space Station, above the Troposphere (0 to 8 miles deep), above the Stratosphere (8 to 30 miles deep), above the Mesosphere (30 to 50 miles deep) and well into the Thermosphere (50 to 120 miles deep). This is also with the range of the Ionosphere (up to 650 miles deep) of space. The actual GT Telescope Adjunctives may remain at even farther distances spanning from the Ionosphere on out into the far reaches of deep space.

    Heads Up Display
The GT has a telescope and space craft window into space which serves as an instrumentation control panel and heads up display.

    Dimensions
GT remains in two places at one time - both Space based and Earth based, with the instrumentation configurations and processing taking place on Earth and the raw data obtained in space above the Earth’s atmosphere.

    Venus Transit 2012

Big Brain Machine view of Venus Transit 2012 - All photos copyright Humanoido
BIG BRAIN CAPTURES RARE TRANSIT OF VENUS
TODAY: Using it's robotic refracting 60mm AT telescope, the electronic Big Brain machine has captured a rare event - the Transit of Venus across the face of the sun.

A transit of Venus occurs when Venus passes directly between the sun and earth.  This alignment is very rare, coming in pairs that are eight years apart but separated by over a century.

This happens when Venus passes in between the orbits of the Sun and Earth. This digital preprocessing image was taken about one hour ago, on Wednesday June 6th, 2012 at 11:49 am local time from Taiwan. As the sun rose, clouds and overcast completely intervened. During the time span from 11 am on into the afternoon, it suddenly cleared to a beautiful blue sky and the best images were captured. Previous atmospheric studies indicated such a weather pattern clearing was likely, and this held true.

Venus Transit 2012 Full solar view
To be on the safe side so as not to completely miss the event, numerous images were initially shot through the clouds. (The next Transit of Venus occurs in 105 years.) The 1st shown photo employed an 8mm Brandon Orthoscopic ocular for a solar "eyepiece projection" method of imaging. Projection distance averaged about 12-inches and a SONY DSC-T10 was used in automatic EI setting and magnifying mode with the super Steady Shot engaged. The projected full disc view with the 24mm FL ocular averaged around 8-inches in diameter. The large black dot is the planet Venus and the background is the Sun. Although Venus was slowly traversing across the face of the Sun, this slow movement was only noticeable in the time lapsed photography. The full solar disk image was obtained with a 24mm FL Meade ocular. Several sunspot groupings are just visible along with granulation.

    June 5th, 2012 sunspots
A solar sunspot study was made in full color on the previous day of June 5th, 2012 at 4:43:48 pm local time, using ISO125 at 1/400 F5.6 to identify the position of solar spots, test the imaging results, obtain satisfactory full disk image size and resolution, position enlarged disc views, and lock down the setup and imaging procedures. (see June 5th photo)
June 6th sunspots during the transit
Approximately nine sunspot groupings are seen.

Note: no solar filters were used and the telescope was not aperture stopped down, however, the water vapor content of the atmosphere was extremely heavy, creating a layer acting as a reflective filter. (Taiwan is an island surrounded by ocean.) The telescope was set up on top of a very tall skyscraper overlooking the city, on a very heavy and stable concrete perimeter which has unobstructed views of the horizon in all cardinal directions. The telescope's temperature was monitored to avoid overheating and damage to optical, metal and polymer parts, as the image was safely projected and three cameras were used.

The image was received by a standard size clipboard mount with an Advanced Agro Double A A4 Premium sheet of photographic print paper of 210 x 297mm size at 80gsm. A small breeze at that height made keeping things in one place challenging. At one time, the telescope shroud was blown off during a break in astro imaging.

The two additional cameras were a Canon and Apple iPhone. Changes in heat temperature made periodic refocusing necessary for the most successful image sharpness. Several times, the SONY camera overheated and failed. Actual ambient temperature was around 95 degrees and in the sun directly the temperature rose to at least 120 deg. F on upwards to oven-like heat. To avoid heat stroke, the imaging session was suspended before event completion.

Images were downloaded to a Mac computer and preprocessed with Apple iPhoto using Edit, Adjust, Exposure, Contrast, Definition, Sharpness and Rotate. About 140 images were captured with the Sony camera and a set with a Canon Ixus 100 IS. Apple iPhone 3G held four images, primarily as a backup plan in case the other images underwent some anomaly phenomenon.

1994 OTM Venus Transit article image
The most recent transit before 2012 occurred June 8, 2004, and the next upcoming transits are in December 10-11, 2117, and in December 2125. As an interesting note, in 1992, the first issue of Observatory Techniques Magazine ran an article about time travel to the Transit of Venus in 2004 (page 10). It included a computer generated image of Venus moving across the Sun which looks remarkably similar in position to the actual 2012 image shown above. The now rare collector's copy of the first OTM issue includes articles about computer image processing, telescope systems design, Saturn's rings, time conversions, hints & techniques, and the astronomer's vision. Although color ink issues are discontinued, OTM occasionally appears as a free online version or available through special offering.

Work is progressing to montage the motion of Venus across the face of the sun with the AT telescope and to utilize the Big Brain's new GT Telescope in space to study the nature of Venus' atmosphere as it filters solar radiation.

The Big Brain machine retains a complete image archive of the 2012 Venus Transit from two telescopes and three imaging cameras.

    Lab Update 05.29.12

    HUMANOIDO LABS UPDATE
Good news! - the last boxes arrived at the new Humanoido Labs International location. The Humanoido Labs Holiday is officially over and work is now progressing on a new organizational structure. One Lab in China is now consolidated and another new Lab concept is introduced for development. The current structure work includes a Lab and Office, technical library and computer & robotics work space. This new structure, when completed, will usher in a new Big Brain inspired company. Some will be surprised to learn that the Big Brain Machine has inspired a company that's related to medical research and machine development as applied to the physiological human brain. More on this in another blog.

    re: International Shipping
Some Lab equipment broke during shipping out of China. Of course, the actual Big Brain was shipped earlier by Airport Check Through and incurred no damage. However, the supporting components shipped in boxes through a local carrier were grossly abused. Even though well packed according to the three inch rule, items were broken. It appears the boxes were thrown out of trucks or shipping containers from an estimated height of 10-feet. These boxes were strapping reinforced on all edges originally. The finally inspection showed the corners and full box sides were completely ripped and torn open. The shipping company made no attempt to retape or restrap the boxes and items were allowed to break, fall out and become lost. Damage included the Big Brain's Aerospace Exploration items and the lost items will be checked against the inventory lists. In the future, the recommendation is to use specialized boxes that double in density. It may be necessary to resort to wood framed containers for delicate equipment. Keep in mind the cost for international shipments comes at a huge price.

    Mac Supercomputer Reveal

    PROPELLER POWERED BIG BRAIN
BUILD A RIGHT BRAIN MAC SUPERCOMPUTER - STEP 1

Step One  This blog details some of the operations of the Big Brain's supercomputing methodology. Let's talk about the Right Brain which has Mac computers connected together. Do you have two Macs? If so, let's see what we can do to increase efficiency. In this first step reveal, we'll learn how to connect Mac Computers and use the resources from one Mac on another Mac. This can include hard drives, printers, attached Propeller chip data, folders, files, the Desktop, Flash Drives and other devices. Managing these resources makes supercomputing easier. Again, this is the first step in the most simple config.

To begin, we'll take a new iMac, a half TB drive, two full TB capacity drives and connect to an INTEL Based Duo Core MacBook. First find a short length Ethernet cable and connect one Mac to the other, same as you would connect internet to the Ethernet port. Next, boot one Mac and go into the System Preferences and setup File Sharing. Remember to set privileges for yourself and if you used passwords, enter those as required. Keep in mind the name of the computer as indicated in the setup window. Repeat the process after booting up the second Mac. Go to the finder and open the window and you should see the other computer name and icon. Double click it and access some folders. If everything is set up correctly, you'll be online connected between both computers and can access one from the other, including all the available peripherals and internals. This is the beginning of your new supercomputing network. We may continue this upgrade reveal, showing how to add more computers in the future and handle parallel operations, even parallel programming - the key to supercomputing.

    High Performance Cluster Computing

Humanoido Labs - PROPELLER POWERED BIG BRAIN
BIG BRAIN ENTERS HIGH PERFORMANCE CLUSTER COMPUTING
    The range of Macs
All hands on deck - The Brain has the best of several worlds including Arrays of Parallax Propeller chips on the left hand and a cluster of Macs on the right hand. Working together it looks as though they can take on any project we put in its path.

We expand the Left Brain with Parallax Propeller Arrays and expand the Right Brain with Apple Macs..

Improvements in parallel processing on the left and right hands have ushered in a new era for the Brain. Tasking is divided up in Parallel across several Macs which can be expanded in the cluster. Performance continues to improve and increase as Macs are added to the Cluster. Software runs on each clustered computer to enable parallel computing. Even with a small Right Brain addition, the add-on can amplify the speed 2X and 5X for significant TeraFLOPs processing gains.

One thing about Parallel computing.. One cannot just run a program like PhotoShop. The app must be developed and programmed specifically for parallel computing. One potential here for this system is programming in ForTran language and it would be interesting to have a Parallel ForTran. Apps can be developed in other languages, even BASIC versions.

By trashing keyboards and monitors and running code on one Mac designated resource to remotely control the other Macs, the overall config can be simplified and reduced in cost. Need to compile your parallel Mac code? Check these sources.

    MC Minimal Computer

    PROPELLER POWERED BIG BRAIN
THE MC MINIMAL COMPUTER RISES FROM THE ASHES
    Restored MC Computer
Fully restored, Humanoido's MC Minimal Computer project is fully functional. What happened to the original disappearing MC?

    THE GRINCH THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS
Not entirely without heart, the Propeller Powered Big Brain has returned the original Propeller chip, taken from the MC Computer project over a half year ago. Enter a new age of Big Brain - the ERA of Exploration, and the MC is now a child. What will it lead to? We may have some ideas...

First the Big Brain was in Assimilation Era and took out the MC Computer, assimilating it completely right down to the Propeller chip. If that wasn't enough, a hard drive crash from a "program and file eating virus" took out PC software, schematics and text files. Working over a half year to restore some files, a small amount of success was achieved, in particular, some of the original MC files were resurrected from the ashes.

Expand with a reset switch & EEPROM
The MC Computer is designed for RETRO Minimal Computing and schools - an entire science is built around one Propeller chip designed to fully function as an experimental and educational computer, ideal for learning binary and programming. The base model is of binary flavor with front panel binary display LED lights and bit toggle switches for setting an 8-bit Byte. A push button is for stepping through programs and entering commands and an extra toggle switch is for add subtract function. The front panel has power on off and banana jacks for hooking up a 3 volts DC power supply. Internally the one chip MC can run on batteries for a very long time. Expansion is rather easy by following the Propeller Demo Board schematic from Parallax. The back is open for easy access to such amenities as adding a crystal, TV, VGA Monitor, keyboard, mouse, EEPROM, speaker, and batteries. But if you do all that, will it still be minimal and low power? The MC will even work on Virtual modules such as TV and keyboard by using software available from the Parallax Forum.

Schematics to build the MC Computer
    The first MC
    Construction
    Add a Piezo speaker
Constructing the MC Computer is very basic and easy to accomplish by following the photos and schematic. The schematic shows one Propeller chip, a few lights and switches and power connections. Building it is a cinch.

    Software
There's 25 programs that run on the MC Computer programmed in SPIN language and as noted, which may follow under the MIT Licensing for building your own MC. Software demonstrates examples of programming the front panel LEDs and switches, and various features. See the list below.

The MC is a good programming language machine. The upgraded version can run multiple languages like SPIN, PASM, Prop BASIC, FemtoBASIC, and others.

Check this ULTIMATE LIST BIG BRAIN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES for almost 200 potential languages.
