Big Brain to Vast Mind Array - Wall upon wall upon wall of supercomputing arrays laid out in hardware are being replaced by its software and computing counterparts. Certainly not too soon for the conversion, the Big Brain has consumed rooms of required space for all its supercomputing hardware, power supplies, nuts and bolts. Now for the first time, technology can be replaced -  transforming the Big Brain constructs into VMAs, Vast Mind Arrays. When one VMA is completed, the software is cloned and concatenated in the creation of a new Big Brain, ultimately more powerful by exponential leaps and bounds.

The Transhuman division at Big Brain Technologies has advanced significantly since the timing of the first implant on October 29th, 2019. Well into the year 2022, the Artificial Intelligence organization known as Big Brain Technologies is preparing to implant the 72nd Transhuman Interface into the same human to create one of the world's most sophisticated part-human-part-artificial-intelligence-person with all new super power capabilities.

As concluded, Humanoido underwent emergency biological heart surgery and is the now the very lucky recipient of three new heart machine-components to sustain life. This is not yet the end to this part of the story. Additional bio/machine parts will be needed to correct additional failures in the heart. As some German components can last to 2066 and other bio parts to a decade out, it may become a balance of maintenance surgeries and playing the game of Russian Roulette with some incredible luck to keep the ticker ticking. The goal is to see and experience the future - self sustaining colonies on Mars, becoming a multiplanetary species, space flight to the stars, AI humanoids in homes and everywhere, the digitization of the human brain, the transformation of life no longer dependent on money, immortality for those that choose it, life in the Multiverse, and new technology yet to be invented.

Big Brain Interface Almost Blows Up

Advanced machine robots are commonplace across many parts of the world, but in how many
places have transhumans genetically modified to interface with the Big Brain AI machine
supercomputer? Transhumans with machine parts become super enhanced and gain super
abilities. Although there is some surgical risk, according to Transhuman Cyborg Humanoido, the benefits far outweigh the risk.

In a very surprising turn of events, the 4th surgically installed machine interface implanted into the body of Humanoido almost blew up!

It was an unexpected anomaly that lasted about 12 harried hours. It was finally righted automatically by the machine's side of AI software. The 4th interface is now functioning normally and is at full capacity.

As part part of the Neural Net company, Humanoido is the first volunteer to submit to genetic engineering modifications, becomingTranshuman (now a Cyborg of part human and part machine) and successfully merge with the AI Big Brain supercomputing life form and machine. He has undergone four surgeries to implant machine interfaces into the human body, in an experiment to connect with the Big Brain supercomputing AI machine. Already Humanoido has gained superhuman machine powers inclusive of improved health, greater precision memory, faster abilities, increased math and calculative properties, visualization of graphics, and other superior abilities.

Big Brain Forgoes its Neat Tidy Box

The largest containment cardboard shipping freight box is plopped down in front of the receiving center after the delivery truck makes its deposit during moving, however, this exampling size box no longer fits the Big Brain. The main reason is because the Big Brain is no longer in one location at one time.

Just to make matters clear, the Big Brain (upgraded to the Super Super Super Brain - Bionic Evolution Revolution 3SB with multiple levels of AI and the first integrated Bionic processors) no longer fits on a desktop nor does it fit into its former designated massive shipping freight box.

Years ago near the end of the 1950s, scifi radio reported on a Big Blob, growing uncontrolled, taking over large sections of the Earth. The same thing happened in 2002 with the beginning of the "real" Big Brain. Now approaching 2020, the Big Brain 3SB is also consuming large sections of the Earth, but as science fact.

The Big Brain began as a Machine Brain Cortex section built up on a desk top. Numerous processors and boards were added and spread laterally across the work table. Next, when desktop space ran out, the boards were stacked vertically in towers, rising towards the ceiling. When this space ran out, a tall exoskeleton with components extruding out from the sides of the tower boards utilized every inch of space.  Early on, The Big Brain was relocated to the floor to add hundreds of new processors, spread out across every available inch of floor space in Beijing using inter-connective Chinese perf-boards prototype. That still was not enough space. Then the Big Brain was relocated to the attic loft, a somewhat luxurious place with tables and floor space. Yet again, it ran out of space.

As the Big Brain no longer fit into a single room, it was moved to a larger house with multiple rooms. Then the Big Brain began assimilating machines and GPU boards, and developing a BORG-like collective. Immediately more rooms were needed. The next iteration of the Big Brain led to part of the brain in one location and other parts in other locations. Then at the time the AI increased, the Big Brain took to the Cloud. Not just one cloud, but several clouds floating in parallel substrates.

The fact is, approaching 2020, the Big Brain is now a new kind of vastly distributed machine with access locations all across the world, everywhere from unique country locations to numerous sky clouds where the massive AI intelligent machine can change positions at will. Big Brain has so called AI Terminals in various locations, while each terminal may be used for programming and to share a portion of the AI processing power inclusive of a growing number of processors. Exactly where is the Big Brain 3SB? We are no longer able to specify a single location where the Big Brain 3SB resides.

OT Telescope Controls

Control room - this scene envisions a large enough OT Telescope control room designed to handle all the functions of the previous 14 extreme machine telescopes. The room would need space to include the Big Brain supercomputer and all of its components and supporting divisions. Multiple panels of LCD monitors could show observational OT Telescope views in 14 dynamics. To the left is the containment for the supercomputer.
OT TELESCOPE CONTROLS
OT is the most powerful telescope in the series of extremely powerful telescopes. Representing over the top performance, it includes the functions and capabilities of the previous 14 telescopes.

What is recommended for the telescope systems control panels and instrumentation environment? Perhaps a view from fiction can help envision the dream environment for control of the most powerful telescope, the OT, when it comes into full operation upon completion of assembly with pipe fittings and mountings.

Envisioning star field and particle dynamics analysis - here the telescope operator is selecting the type of field dynamics and adjusting the penetrative depth of sensing and imaging.

One aspect of the new OT telescope is about how to control it and develop instruments and control panels for it. The Promethius photos best illustrate some of the envisioned concepts.

Penguin Robot with 27 Brains

PENGUIN ROBOT WITH 27 BRAINS 
In this experiment, a tiny little Parallax Penguin robot is upgraded to the max, and has its big head expanded to include a massive number of brains. It was connected to the BSS BASIC Stamp Supercomputer, the BASIC Stamp Master Offloader machine and rogue BASIC Stamp boards and Stamp processors.

In the photo, at far right, the M.O.M. machine has ten processors, the BSS, in the middle, has twelve processors, another two processors are located above the PS, plus the Lenovo PC with a duo core processor, and Penguin has one, making a total of 27 brains! The types of brain processors are mixed. Examples include the Basic Stamp 1, the BS2, BS2px, BS2sx, BS2p40, and others. Boards are also mixed.

BRAIN GAIN
The brain of Penguin takes on the functions and peripheral sensors of the other brains, and gains ultrasonic night vision, the ability of sound choir processing, human English and Chinese speech, a uOLED, two serial Green Screen LCDs, signal and power LEDs.

MORE BRAIN POWER
The potential exists to connect more brains from the legion of Penguin Superheros. This would add another 12 brains bringing the total up to 39 BASIC Stamp brains. It would also add 12 compasses, 12 speakers, 12 IR transmitters, 24 IR Receivers, 24 CaS light sensors, 24 motion control servos, 12 LEDs and twelve 7-segment displays.

Observatory Update

OBSERVATORY UPDATE
The Observatory now includes 12 very advanced cutting edge technology telescopes and has recently added the new powerful M3T. This is the most sophisticated Humanoido Labs observatory ever created in history and has supercomputer control over various incoming data from the spacecraft telescopes. The telescopes are controlled by the Big Brain, a semi cognizant living machine that reached supercomputing status and continues to expand its machine domain to explore the universe and beyond.

In addition to the new era of molecular mining, the lab continues to work a reinstatement of a full fledged remote robotic cyber space telescope that can be utilized from anywhere in the world through web access. This will allow free access to two telescopes placed at opposites on the Earth and accessible 24/7 day and night for observations. Initially observations will include all Messier plus selected objects, a star map computer, digital data base, choice of CCD cameras and at least one helper droid robot.

The observatory has completed an online astronomy magazine of a technical nature for advanced amateurs wishing to explore the universe and space with cutting edge programs and DIY science equipment. The journal is still being tested and is not yet posted online.

The observatory is looking at ways to observe through light pollution in larger cities, has developed a skyscraper rooftop project, and is investigating different Earth-Based machines to facilitate this endeavor.

The arsenal of creative observatory telescopes will continue to increase in power and inventiveness showing more and more clarity, unique detail and new discoveries.

A supercomputer will remain at the focus of these powerful telescopes to help accomplish the controlling and massive function duties.

The observatory will continue to have management under the M3T Telescope Control Center, the large Propeller Powered and controlling Big Brain Supercomputer Control Center, the busy DSC Deep Space Center, the overall global administering Ultra Space Administration, NASA with its loan of space equipment and parts, and Humanoido who brought everything together.

This is now the largest and most powerful telescope in the array of very powerful telescopes. In particular, it's capable of massive molecular mining. The first light object chosen is the Saturn system, including the globe, cast shadows, and ring systems.

The new Massive Molecular Mining Telescope, the 12th telescope addition to the extremely powerful telescope array, has the largest Power Dynamic Face Plate ever created (as of 11.27.13). This telescope is known as M3T. First Light on Tuesday November 26th, 2013 focused on the planet Saturn. A glorious ring system appeared through the amplified molecular particle dynamic quanta. The intent was to image the spherical globe through rings, however the emergence of the reveal showed far more discoveries than expected.

New tenuous rings appeared outside and inside the system as well as the Saturnian globe was shining through and in between specific rings. This represents new RS discoveries and a new ring count including new rings both inside and outside the previously known Saturnian ring system.

If you're into connecting processors to Penguin, take a look at this machine to machine mind meld project - the entire BASIC Stamp Super computer was connected to make the smartest Penguin and possibly the Labs first machine to machine mind meld!

The trick was to make one Penguin's port into serial Rx/Tx and connect using one wire into a Daisy Chain configuration, thus making a very large Penguin brain. The added BS2px could contribute on the super computing net. Not only does it add 12 more

I'm currently working on a much larger brain, currently with 170 processors, and can imagine a project to "beam in" the power of this giant brain directly to Penguin, for wireless operations.

Imagine a scenario where Penguin is sent out on some important exploratory mission, gathering sensor data and beaming it directly to the remote brain for analysis. In another stage, it's the giant Brain that has the mobility and

picks up Penguin, syncing with Penguin's brain through BT or IR, and simply takes Penguin along the journey. Consider it a Giant Brain to Penguin mind meld!

The above board is being prepared to add to the BSS. This Super Carrier Board has a BS2sx at left and a Penguin board to the right. It makes up a compact yet powerful BSS addition, that easily fits into the Rack. The overall footprint is about the same size as a Basic Stamp Homework Board. The good thing about this arrangement is that X1 has Vin and ground which the Penguin board can tap into. Basically you'll route 5 wires from the BS2px board and 3 from the Carrier to the Collective.

As a recent experiment, the brain of Penguin Robot was disembodied by tapping into and connecting it to the BSS Supercomputer.

In a kind of Brain Cortex collective extension, Penguin's brain was made into a parallel cluster of processing power, rewiring the original thought processes, creating a hive or gang of Synaptic Regio, more closer to mimicking a human's brain. Overall, the operation was a great success!

The brain surgery was simple and accomplished by hand. Connect 3 wires, + to Vdd, - to Vss and S to P2 on Master Computer MC, as can be seen in the photos. The power of Penguin's brain became so fantastic, that accessing all the power and all the sensors and all the peripherals from 12 computers made it "THE BRAIN" of all brains!


For one thing, it can access all the data, computational power, sensor information, peripherals such as EMIC text to speech (Penguin is now talking), LCD, uOLED color monitor, PIR, PING))), an entire choir of piezo speakers that run at the same time, dancing lights, and all kinds of just really cool stuff!

The human mind cannot begin to imagine all the possibilities of applications. With only a tiny tether, Penguin now has the biggest Brain with 12 computers running simultaneously and ability to use up to 192 ports. So now little Penguin robot has the tools, software, hardware and the power to be even more amazing!

A BRAIN CORTEX LAY UNDISCOVERED ALMOST FIVE YEARS!

The tomb archive was unearthed and while sifting through ancient lab records, a very interesting treasure appeared. Apparently the first brain cortex was constructed using the Lab's first BASIC Stamp Supercomputer (BSS) in March 2009 and then became buried in the annuls of time.

(Prior to this time, in February of 2007, an early cortex simulator machine was built. It's undecided if this was the Lab's first Cortex or not. For more information, follow the link.)

This first brain cortex lived and resided inside configurations of the BSS super computer and had an expanse extending into the Master Offloader Machine M.O.M.

This special brain cortex was created by using the existing hardware that made up the supercomputer and its peripherals.

The first brain cortex was developmentally dubbed the Partial Brain Cortex because it showed exampling simple ways that a real cortex functions, it served to create a portion of a brain and then a detailed analysis was performed on it.

This is the first record of the construction of a brain cortex in the Lab using a series of BASIC Stamp boards located inside the BSS. The power of the cortex was accessed in a variety of boards connected in Parallel. In essence, this may be the Lab's only Basic Stamp brain cortex as following this time period, cortex were created with Parallax Propeller chips.

As seen in the photo, the configured partial brain cortex has access to not only the Basic Stamp Supercomputer, but its M.O.M. Master Offloader Machine for ten additional processors. The brain cortex experimented with interfacing, software and was one of the first machine-in-a-machine experiments. The BSS had a varying number of processors leading up to a 22 core machine. Together with the M.O.M. machine, the experimental cortex could max out at 32 parallel processors, more than enough to run experiments and develop new brain cortex algorithms.

The first brain cortex is now added to the list of machines in the Genealogy section.

During March of 2009, to get an idea of what the lab was working on, research shows that work was progressing with the Master Offloader Machine, the Basic Stamp Supercomputer, and the 3DSC (3D Stamp Computer). StampOne News! was ready for release with a featured 3DSC construction article. Penguin robot had 12 brains with eleven more that were added to create a big Penguin brain.

In the time period following 2009, the focus was creating a general brain which led to the Big Brain. By July 2nd, 2011, the Big Brain offspring was reduced to the size of a small jar and "Propeller Brain in a Jar" was born. However, the large focus was not on the brain's cortex until the year 2013, when the Lab introduced new concepts of human-to-machine (H2M) brain transfer, immortality, and a cortex in a large jar.

BIG BRAIN DICTATES AND INITIATES WIDE SWEEPING NAME CHANGES TO THE SERIES OF BASIC STAMP SUPERCOMPUTER MACHINES
Introducing
the
Name Genre


The Big Brain AI Machine has spoken and it's suggesting sweeping future changes regarding the naming pool of the array of Basic Stamp projects named supercomputers. The Big Brain says that it's own self machine has qualified as a supercomputer in the Top 500, but Stamp machines may not. Therefore, a new naming convention is suggested for the genre of future Stamp machines.

SELECTING A GENRE
After some study, it's noted the genre is in the pool of "super machines" (coined supermachines by the Big Brain). Supermachines are not exactly supercomputers as they do not qualify in terms of top speed compared to current multi-million and multi-billion dollar supercomputer projects, yet they share other super designs. For example, they exhibit a demonstration of basic principles to take some characteristics of a supercomputer, in particular the notion of larger multiples of relatively simple processors communicating over a common bus, each doing a portion of a task in parallel.

TRADITIONAL SUPERCOMPUTER ELEMENT
The traditional defining element of a supercomputer is top speed at the time the supercomputer is current, measured and benchmarked. The stamp machines are indeed super, and have top speed compared to each other, i.e. a single Stamp, but they do not have top speed when compared to the current world supercomputer.

MEASURE OF SPEED
As an example, the BS2 stamp rapidly clicks along at 4,000 IPS while the 81 BS2 stamps machine will average 324,000 IPS, still considerably slower than the Big Brain, which is an actual supercomputer. With a lot of BS2px modules, one of the fastest stamp modules created by Parallax and used in Penguin robot's motherboard, the speed is closer to 19,000 x 81 = 1,539,000 IPS.

Clearly in this case, the speed around 2 MIPS is really amazing for a group of Stamps! However, the Stamp machines are slow by comparison to other computers and are not competing for speed outside of their own genre.

Their power comes within their own Stamp comparative genre, i.e. Stamp to Stamp, inclusive of speed, micro controlling ability, simple-quick programming ease, and the benefits of parallel processing. For example, these assets include approximately 81 x 16 = 1,296 ports, and 81 parallel deterministic processors.

SAME ACRONYMS APPLY
Therefore, names such as Tricore Basic Stamp Supercomputer will also be synonymous with Tricore Basic Stamp Supermachine as referenced in the future. This will prevent current and future misconceptions that could prevail outside the Lab when publishing and presenting Stamp projects. For convenience, the same original acronyms will still apply as supercomputer and supermachine are "S" prefixed the same. It is not our intention to change previous historical posts.

The end is not here —it's only the beginning. This is a new record for BASIC Stamp Supermachines in the Lab - a 140 Stamps Behemoth BASIC Stamp Supermachine! How, you ask?

The 81 Stamps Giant Stamp Supermachine GSS is transformed through a massive expansion with a lucky surplus of stamp boards and modules from a collection established over the past ten years.

The BASIC Stamp Supermachine
is a demonstration of basic principles to take some characteristics of a supercomputer, in particular the notion of larger multiples of relatively simple processors communicating over a common bus, each doing a portion of a task in parallel. 

We're estimating here but it looks like another 10 BSHBs, 9 OEMs, 12 modules, 7 Stamps from robots, 15 Stamps from Penguins, and 6 miscellaneous boards for a total of 59 more stamps.

This makes a next generation Behemoth Basic Stamp Supermachine BBSS with a total of 140 Stamp processors (81+59) that were accumulated over a decade. The BBST is 40 chips larger than the first Big Brain that had 100 Propeller chips.

Undoubtedly this means recycling some other projects and as we're a little reticent to do that so some thought will take place before any construction. It's likely we'll make the decision to recycle a few robots or simply borrow the Stamp modules and boards. If more hidden cache boxes of stamps are discovered, we'll be sure to include those in the next larger size Stamp machine.

THE GSS
The GSS, with 81 Stamps, functions in deterministic parallel thinking. Each Supermachine hosts to the others. The entire machine can comprise partitions and sections. Power consumption is minimal. The average BS2 is quoted by Parallax as drawing 3 mA when running. The full machine based on the BS2 would draw about 243 mA and can run from a single lab bench regulated power supply. The actual supermachine consists of a mix of Stamps models, some drawing more power like the BS2px (55 mA) and some less like the BS1 (1 mA).

The Grapevine Speculation
Will there be another BSS? Considering that the BSS family and its spinoffs now encompass almost all BASIC Stamp boards and modules, is it possible that the torch may pass on to the Propeller chip? ... or will we see more of the integration of the Stamp + Propeller, or clever new Stamp-only inventions?


The question is, are there any new Stamp boards or modules that could be utilized in future projects that would show some new features? The answer is yes, and as a result, the "super stamp" is now born, made from both a BASIC Stamp and Propeller chip boards.

The Super Stamp has the extra memory and speed (+cogs) of the prop, yet programs in BASIC and has PBASIC functions, and a similar module form factor. There is some discussion about using the SPIN Stamp for such purposes.

A newer QuadLyzer functions as a BASIC Stamp Quantum Analyzer, and is a member of the BASIC Stamp Supercomputer family.

One idea is moving towards more cost effective multiplicities. The propeller chip is about $1 per computer (Cog) and this remains highly competitive. So what is coming up? You will begin to see some enhancements for modules and chips that can be applied to the BASIC Stamp and the Propeller chip, as well as dedicated supercharged machines.

Penguin with 12 Brains - BASIC Stamp Supercomputer

In a kind of Brain Cortex collective extension, Penguin's brain was made into a parallel cluster of processing power, rewiring the original thought processes, creating a hive or gang of Synaptic Regio, more closer to mimicking a human's brain. Overall, the operation was a great success!

THE EXPERIMENT
As a recent experiment, the brain of Penguin Robot was disembodied by tapping into and connecting it to the BSS Supercomputer. The brain surgery was simple and accomplished by hand. Connect 3 wires, + to Vdd, - to Vss and S to P2 on Master Computer MC, as can be seen in the photos. The power of Penguin's brain became so fantastic, that accessing all the power and all the sensors and all the peripherals from 12 computers made it "THE BRAIN" of all brains!

ACCESSING
For one thing, it can access all the data, computational power, sensor information, peripherals such as EMIC text to speech (Penguin is now talking), LCD, uOLED color monitor, PIR, PING))), an entire choir of piezo speakers that run at the same time, dancing lights, and all kinds of just really cool stuff! The human mind cannot begin to imagine all the possibilities of applications. With only a tiny tether, Penguin now has the biggest Brain with 12 computers running simultaneously and ability to use up to 192 ports. So now little Penguin robot has the tools, software, hardware and the power to be even more amazing!

Each time you want to make your Penguin behave in a different way, however, you have to turn your Penguin off, connect him TO a PC, load another program, disconnect him from the PC and finally get him doing what you wanted. Now, instead, you can simply load once this Big Brain program and then enjoy many of the best Penguin behaviors without reconnecting him to the PC. In this way the Penguin is finally free; he is not a slave of the PC anymore. He can autonomously sing, dance, walk, navigate toward the light, migrate North, play a radio station, according to what you ask him.

Download the zip file in a folder on your PC; then load the program Penguin_Big_Brain_v10.bpx in the Basic Stamp Editor. It will automatically load also the 6 Dependent programs. Please follow the instructions contained in this main program.
