Machine to Machine Mind Meld Penguin

MIND MELD
PENGUIN ROBOT BRAIN TO BSS SUPER COMPUTER

MARCH 3, 2011
If you're into connecting processors to Penguin, take a look at this machine to machine mind meld project - the entire BASIC Stamp Super computer was connected to make the smartest Penguin and possibly the Labs first machine to machine mind meld!

http://humanoidolabs.blogspot.tw/2013/10/penguin-with-12-brains-basic-stamp.html

The trick was to make one Penguin's port into serial Rx/Tx and connect using one wire into a Daisy Chain configuration, thus making a very large Penguin brain. The added BS2px could contribute on the super computing net. Not only does it add 12 more
12-30-2008
processors to Penguin, it also adds one more processor to the BSS.

I'm currently working on a much larger brain, currently with 170 processors, and can imagine a project to "beam in" the power of this giant brain directly to Penguin, for wireless operations.

Imagine a scenario where Penguin is sent out on some important exploratory mission, gathering sensor data and beaming it directly to the remote brain for analysis. In another stage, it's the giant Brain that has the mobility and

Penguin at upper left on top of PS
picks up Penguin, syncing with Penguin's brain through BT or IR, and simply takes Penguin along the journey. Consider it a Giant Brain to Penguin mind meld!

The above board is being prepared to add to the BSS. This Super Carrier Board has a BS2sx at left and a Penguin board to the right. It makes up a compact yet powerful BSS addition, that easily fits into the Rack. The overall footprint is about the same size as a Basic Stamp Homework Board. The good thing about this arrangement is that X1 has Vin and ground which the Penguin board can tap into. Basically you'll route 5 wires from the BS2px board and 3 from the Carrier to the Collective.

BRAIN CORTEX IN 2008?

As a recent experiment, the brain of Penguin Robot was disembodied by tapping into and connecting it to the BSS Supercomputer.

In a kind of Brain Cortex collective extension, Penguin's brain was made into a parallel cluster of processing power, rewiring the original thought processes, creating a hive or gang of Synaptic Regio, more closer to mimicking a human's brain. Overall, the operation was a great success!

The brain surgery was simple and accomplished by hand. Connect 3 wires, + to Vdd, - to Vss and S to P2 on Master Computer MC, as can be seen in the photos. The power of Penguin's brain became so fantastic, that accessing all the power and all the sensors and all the peripherals from 12 computers made it "THE BRAIN" of all brains!

For one thing, it can access all the data, computational power, sensor information, peripherals such as EMIC text to speech (Penguin is now talking), LCD, uOLED color monitor, PIR, PING))), an entire choir of piezo speakers that run at the same time, dancing lights, and all kinds of just really cool stuff!

The human mind cannot begin to imagine all the possibilities of applications. With only a tiny tether, Penguin now has the biggest Brain with 12 computers running simultaneously and ability to use up to 192 ports. So now little Penguin robot has the tools, software, hardware and the power to be even more amazing!

For even more Brain Power, run the Big Brain software by vrossi. It can increase the number of programs stored in Penguins Brains whenever the computer is a Basic Stamp with more than one 2K bank of EEPROM (i.e. BS2p24, BS2p40, BS2pe, BS2px, etc.). For more info about the BSS Supercomputer:

Brain Cortex Considerations of Mind Transfer Part 39

Brain cortex memory chip wiring
BRAIN CORTEX CONSIDERATIONS OF MIND TRANSFER PART 39

What is the effect of great expanses of memory in the receiving vessel?

What is the effect of memory when it's minimized after a transfer?

What is the speed of a full or partial mind transfer?

What effects does the resolution of a machine brain in a jar have on its transfer occupancy?

What are the effects of transferring a higher level brain to a lower level containment.

What are the effects of transferring a lower level brain to a higher level containment?

Can containment increase to a higher level after transfer?

If containment is increased to a higher level after transfer, what is the effect on occupancy?

What are the effects of transferring a human brain cross species?

Can the transferred human mind have intelligence increase after the conversion to machine?

Can the human mind transfer to the machine, undergo electronic corrections for brain disease, and transfer back into a human disease free?

What is the life span of a human fully converted into a machine?

The project objective is to develop a cortex machine brain, demonstrate human-to-machine brain transfer, in particular to take some relatively simple human characteristics and transfer portions to the machine brain, whereby human traits could be given greater life longevity, leading towards immortality.

Brain Cortex Algorithm Part 33

BRAIN CORTEX ALGORITHM
PART 33
The algorithm for human brain to machine brain transfers (H2M) is worked on to encode the transfer information. How the algorithm is executed is being studied.

This will include the method to gather and organize information and present it to the machine. It will also address the content of the information and what the human knows. It will likely include at the top hierarchy, knowledge, which will then be broken down into three categories inclusive of facts, experiences and personality.

The algorithm must also include brain data organization and presentation, i.e. a type of interfacing from the human to the machine. Part of this system is the Layer and how it will contain brain information.

— our project is to develop and demonstrate a machine brain transfer, in particular to accept some relatively simple characteristics of a human brain and transfer portions to that of a machine brain, whereby those characteristics could be given a life longevity far exceeding that of the original human, and perhaps establishing immortality —

Brain Cortex Katra Part 31

CREATING A BRAIN CORTEX KATRA
What we are working on, and wish to achieve, is the creation of a human subset simplified Katra that can be transferred into the machine brain and retained indefinitely.

First we will define the Katra, establish its parameters, and attempt to construct one for use in the human brain to machine brain transfer project.

Philosophical issues
Above: this is 9.4 Tesla FT-ICR Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometer. The FT-ICR MS allows scientists to identify up to 20,000 components in a mixture without prior separation (GC, LC , gels), thereby changing the whole approach to mixture analysis. A mass spectrometer (shown in the picture above) works by detecting little particles that have a charge and helps determine the structure/shape of a sample. There are many applications for this machine to help unravel the chemical solution and flux particle dynamic mysteries of the human brain, thus potentially paving the way to more complete pathway understanding and to ultimately more sophisticated human brain to machine (H2M) brain transfers. KATRA DEFINITION
The Katra is a living spirit and the essence of the mind and it could be transferred to another person moments before death.
http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Katra

PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES
We don't normally joke about science fact and something new and serious like mind to mind transfer and the holding retention of one's Katra and a transference of an individual's intellectual and experience essence into a brain vessel, however, a number of ludicrous philosophical issues were proposed by some people about this technology and a small but cute cartoon is in order.

CREATING A KATRA
Can we generate a small subset Kata and transfer it from a human to a machine? This is one aspect of the human brain to machine brain transfer project. Previously the Lab defined Layering. In this case, the Katra can be converted into the confines of a small singular brain layer which is a subset of the whole. Therefore, to DIY your own subset Katra, first determine the subset requirement.

Brain Cortex Uploading Human Mind to Machine Part 20
http://humanoidolabs.blogspot.tw/2013/11/brain-cortex-uploading-human-mind-to.html

THREE KNOWLEDGE TYPES
The brain cortex is considering at least three types of classifications for upload from a human brain. There are three areas for a simplified upload. This includes factual knowledge, personality and experience.

FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE
While factual knowledge may initially appear less unique to a person's characteristics, it is not. It can certainly be a defining signature based on the type of knowledge one knows and the level and quantity of a particular interest.

PERSONALITY
Personality can include likes and dislikes, viewpoints, philosophy and values. More knowledge and factual material can indicate personality interests about astronomy for example.

EXPERIENCES
Experiences can include previous choices made, stories, and things that are selected as one over another due to learned past events.

TRANSFER CLASSIFICATIONS
IN CREATING A SIMPLIFIED BRAIN LAYER FOR TRANSFER It's not necessary to upload all three classifications to demo the results. One over the other can be selected, with decisions based on the machine vessel capacity and the machines ability, capacity and characteristic attributes.

SELECTING FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE
As factual knowledge can portray other characteristics such as personality, likes, interests, gravitation, etc., this would be a good place to start. The amount or selected topical quantity of factual knowledge can also portray a person's experience about a particular subject, either through course taking, study or experiences.

Therefore all three potentials, Factual Knowledge, Personality, and Experience can be wrapped up and embedded in just one transfer classification — Factual Knowledge. KATRA generation can now focus on factual knowledge that contains bits of experience, personality and knowledge.

INITIAL UPLOAD POTENTIALS
Factual Knowledge
Personality
Experience

Brain Cortex Mind Meld Part 30

The Lab is turning Mind Meld sci-fi into science fact - human brain to machine brain
BRAIN CORTEX MIND MELD
MACHINE TO MAN AND MAN TO MACHINE
When does your brain and the brain of a machine intertwine, mix, and become one? How can we demonstrate a mind meld between man and machine? Given enough complexity and ingenuity, is the "Katra" of a machine brain cortex in a jar capable of mind melding with a human, and the other way around?

The Humanoido Lab's Brain Cortex in a jar project continues to define the ideas of merging worlds of man and machine, establishing potential uses for human brain to machine brain transfers and collectively formulating the algorithms of a human to machine and machine to human mind meld. Designs continue for a real life experiment.

We think yes. There are varying uses for a human to machine mind meld. The mind meld has numerous potentials. Prior, there was no specific information for a project of this magnitude existing except in the annuls of science fiction like Star Trek.

THE POTENTIAL FOR MIND MELDING
* One mind controls the other
* Reads thoughts of the other
* Implant thoughts
* Share experiences
* Share knowledge
* Cross species exchanges
* Telepathic mentoring
* Erase memories
* Replace memories
* Repair memories
* Add on memories
* Share memories
* Take away pain
* Allow more than one mind to have experiences

Welcome to the Mind-Meld: Our Future of Brain-to-Brain Communication
The first rat pressed a lever, anticipating the tasty reward it’d been trained to expect. An implant in the rat’s brain converted its neural activity into an electronic signal and beamed the impulse to the brain of the second rat, which leaped forward and pressed a lever in its own cage. But rat #2 had never been trained to press the lever. Its movement impulse came not from its own brain, but directly from the brain of rat #1 – despite the fact that the two were separated by thousands of miles. What we have created, said lead researcher Miguel Nicolelis, is “a new central nervous system made of two brains.”

First Human Brain-to-Brain Mind Meld Achieved
By wearing an EEG cap that read his brain’s electrical signals, UW computer scientist Rajesh Rao was able to use his thoughts to control the actions of assistant professor Andrea Stucco, who wore a transcranial magnetic stimulation coil that stimulates brain activity.

A code was used to translate brain signals from EEG readings into brain commands.

Human Brains Connect Via Internet
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/08/30/217178528/dont-call-it-a-mind-meld-human-brains-connect-via-internet
In what they call "direct brain-to-brain communication in humans," researchers in Washington state say they've successfully passed signals from one mind to another via the Internet, without using surgical implants.

In their test, two people collaborated on a task while sitting in different buildings, using only their minds. "The Internet was a way to connect computers, and now it can be a way to connect brains," researcher Andrea Stocco says, from the University of Washington. "We want to take the knowledge of a brain and transmit it directly from brain to brain. "But the researchers say that any talk of a "Vulcan mind meld" like that seen on Star Trek is wildly premature, noting that their work focuses on sharing brain signals, not actual thoughts.

Mind melds
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulcan_Star_Trek

A "mind-meld" is a technique for sharing thoughts, experiences, memories, and knowledge with another individual, essentially a limited form of telepathy.

It usually requires physical contact with a subject, though instances of mind-melds without contact have been seen (for example, in the episode "The Devil in the Dark"). Vulcans can perform mind melds with members of most other species, most notably Humans, with Jonathan Archer being the first known Human participant in such a ritual in 2154.

Even the Earth humpback whale can be successfully melded with. The Ferengi are one of the few races known to be impervious to the mind meld; mentally disciplined Cardassians may also be resistant to mind melds if properly trained. It is not established if this potential ability is inherent to Cardassians, or if members of any race could be trained to resist a mind meld.

Nomad mind meld
Machines, such as the Nomad probe, have been melded with even if only through complete contact.

In the animated Star Trek episode "One of Our Planets Is Missing", a touch-less melding with a gaseous nebular entity was depicted.

Mind melds have been used to erase memories, as Spock performed on James T. Kirk in the TOS episode "Requiem for Methuselah".

Mind melds can also allow more than one mind to experience memories and sensations, and sometimes even interact with the memories, as seen in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Flashback".

Brain Cortex Immortality Part 29

Under construction - new larger brain Cortex
BRAIN CORTEX IMMORTALITY PART 29
We must free our minds from the containment of its infinitely fragile body containment.

HUMAN CAVEAT
The caveat as humans is that we are delicate, frail and fragile individuals with limitations of body and life. We have very short lives and are largely dependent on small ranges of temperature and pressure. We require a specific mix of breathable air, pure water, and special types of food.

SUSCEPTIBILITY OF HUMANS
We are susceptible to calamity, like volcanoes, earthquakes, meteor crashes, fire, nuclear and biological weapons, war, major catastrophes like tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, snow blizzards, cold and hypothermia, and other environment extremes. The sun can bake our skin. We need protection from IR, Xrays, Comic Rays, UV rays and other radiation.

We have trauma and suffering from pain, loss of friends and loved ones, injury, accidents, old age decrepitude, terminal illness, and our organs and body wear out resulting in handicapped, and eventual death and we cease to exist. We are dependent on environmental resources such as food and water which could become in short supply and we have huge intellectual limitations. We could easily follow the path of dinosaurs and become extinct at the moment of an asteroid impact.

HUMAN GOAL
The goal of humans is to improve ourselves, reduce and eliminate suffering, increase well being, live longer, be healthier, avoid disease, and have a better life.

SOLUTIONS
Solve aging, create cryogenics, grow body replacements, cloning human organs, use human organ transplants from donors, the use of anti-aging and cellular repair, nano technology to repair internal cells and correct defects,

Transferring the mind, memories, experiences, will save the uniqueness of an individual. If we can save those, it will capture the essence of who we are.

If we can life on Mars and the Moon, some of us can avert extinction from an Earth bound asteroid, for example. We can change our environment and we can change in other ways.

Our information must be preserved. If transferring our information to another location, like Mars, will help preserve information then we have solutions.

If the human mind can be transferred to other vessels, then we have a more viable preservation solution.

TYPES OF DEATH
Humans may have a biological death, but if they are frozen with the potential to be awoken in the future, they may only seem dead. Living people who have Alzeimer's Disease may have complete loss of memories and data information of experiences and knowledge. They may become the living dead.

BACKUP
We know the importance of backup in the electronic digital world and how it effects the memories of hard drives, computers, cell phones and digital information. So backup should apply to humans as well. Are we not the most important information, the information of life, the information of a lifetime? Is this the most important type of information that we know which requires backup?

REDUNDANCY
The human brain has redundancy of its neurons but this is located in the head. If head or body trauma happens, the redundancy of the brain can be wiped out in a moment.

NEURAL DATA
A collection of neural data, extracted from a human brain and placed in say a computer, can have tests run on it. The data can be simulated and run in a simulation for cause and effect.

SLICES
Individual slicing of data sets may be obtained for more or less quantity.

RECONSTRUCTION ALGORITHMS
Algorithms may be applied to neural data run in simulations and on the neural data inside the machine transfer vessel.

AVOIDING TROUBLE
The Lab highly recommends working with non invasive means. Implants, invasive dectectors, invasive power sources, improper resolution, incomplete scans, electrode surgery, leaving components in the brain for a long time, not accessing enough neurons should be avoided.

NEW TECHNIQUES OF BRAIN ACCESS
Nanotechnology, Quantum dots, to access a much larger scale at higher resolution, turn biological signals into something that is easier to scan, High TESLA MRI (20 um), MNT Gear (to put a number of small machines into the brain).

IMPORTANCE OF DATA SELECTION
What is the actual data we need to get out of the brain? How do we represent the state of the mind? What are the transition functions that go from one state to another? What are the drivers that change the transition functions as we learn things? It is related to population activity, neuron spike times, or membrane potentials as they travel through morphology of neurons or elsewhere?

Brain Cortex Mind Transfer Part 28

HUMAN TO MACHINE
HOW WE WILL ACHIEVE MIND TRANSFER

Brain transfer human to machine by layering
The human brain is enormous in size compared to the size of the machine brain cortex, yet the project calls for the transfer of the human brain into the machines' jar confinement. How to do this?

HOW CAN YOU MIND MELD WITH A MACHINE?

Imagine transferring your brain into a machine where you would need no sleep, feel no pain, think more clear, and perhaps live forever because you would be made of replaceable parts.

As a bonus of transferring your mind, your IQ could vastly increase and your memory would have total recall unlike anything you could have previously imagined. All this is possible through the promise of advanced technology known as Mind Transfer, i.e. putting your biological mind and brain into the machine. Not surgically, but rather reading it and transferring it. It's epic and world changing, but as the full technology needs to be developed today, Humanoido Labs is working on one of the first small examples of transfer.

EXPECTATIONS
Don't expect too much from this first simple meager example. It sets the methods, techniques and definitions in this new field. It's hoped these early efforts will help pave the way to bigger and more sophisticated mind melds and more complete transfers.

today we can transfer a small part of the brain to a machine but tomorrow holds the key to complete immortality —

IT'S TIME TO UPGRADE
The human species has been on the track of biological evolution for billions years. Its time has come to make the change from biology to machine, put an end to disease, war, famine, and expand the mind into the Universe. Join us as we begin to the explore the first beginning of this new technology, build our machine cortex brain in a jar, and transfer a small part of yourself into the machine. Live on as long as you want, but take good care of your new cortex jar.

PUT YOUR BRAIN INTO A MACHINE
The Lab thinks there's a technique to mind meld man and machine. The simple approach of connecting the biological cortex to the electric cortex uses the Parallax Propeller chip and a serial interface over the Propeller Plug.

How do we plan to accomplish this? By levels. The human brain cortex will be noninvasively dissected into small pieces called layers. These layers make up specific functions of the human brain and hold content. It's this content that's interestng. Only specific mind layers will be melded into the machine brain to fit memory and containment confinement.

BRAIN TO BRAIN TRANSFER
This establishes techniques of mind melding or brain to brain transfer, from human to machine. What is gained and what is lost? How will the transfer take place. The machine cortex is coded to accept parts of the human brain in the fields of knowledge and the three areas of acceptance previous discussed.

MIND LAYERS
By limiting mind melds to specific layers, the brain piece can fit into the machine. In the long term, bigger machines indicate the transfer of larger and larger sections of the human brain, until eventually all of it is transferable. We've chosen assorted layer dissection of the human cortex for the transfer to the machine.

LAYER QUANTITY
The human biological brain is so vast, that layering transferal to the electric cortex brain can only handle one fundamental layer. The first electric cortex brain used, by itself will have one layer to work with. It's possible to extend the layering effect by the addition of more Propeller chips, which in effect will expand the machine cortex.

PROPELLER CHIP
A single Parallax Propeller chip has eight 2K RISC processors which access a 32K HUB RAM and 32K ROM. The memory space is coded with the criteria previously established. The connection is made serially by noninvasive interface.

MIND MELDING
Make the connection to the machine. The mind meld is electronic as the information enters the electronic brain. The part of the mind meld from the human is biological until it enters the machine's interface where it's converted to electrical impulses. Select the topic of knowledge base for melding purposes. Determine the characteristics. Establish direct feed. Fill the machine. Save the entity life form (this may be automatic with nonvolatile memory established by battery backup or always on power sources.

BRAIN ENCODING
The brain encoding is the next step as it's selectable and specific. Think of a characteristic chosen topic to be imparted to the machine brain. Chosen characteristics may be derived for transfer.

BRAIN DISTILATION
Isolate the topic to a specific category and instill this category into the machine. Do not induce errors, because they are remembered by the machine cortex, so the distillation process may need exact prior scripting. The human brain can have its contents distilled into fewer layers, even one. The project is currently experimenting with the distillation of one layer. The effects to improve the efficiencies of distilling one layer are worked on currently, and the process of distillation is undergoing transformation to better define the effectiveness. It's likely, as a DIY project, a step by step procedure or example will be helpful.

SCRIPTION
Scripting may be challenging because a born cortex contains pre-stored DNA which automatically manifests itself in communication.

ELECTRIC DNA
Non biological electric DNA is stored inside the cortex machine so that at startup, or birthing, the machine is alive and working with a base of knowledge.

DURATION
Allow about an hour for the brain to brain transfer to take place, making sure the power source for the electric brain is substantial and reliable and will never become interrupted.

INTERFACING SERIAL OR PARALLEL
The interface connection between man and machine, simplistically, could be set up with serial or parallel transfer. With one eight core chip, and transfer of a single demonstrative layer from a human brain, serial interfacing is entirely sufficient. For a larger number of connections in order to handle more layers from the human brain, and with more cores and processors on the machine side, parallel is more effective. This is a first step and future transfers will utilize the transfers of pure photon energy or other more efficient means.

NONINTERRUPTION
Make sure the interface connection is not interrupted during the mind meld. If there is interruption, wipe the electric brain memory clean (involves running a program to erase EEPROM and disconnecting the power source for a period of time to ensure RAM is cleared) Otherwise outdated or partial residual memory retained may conflict with new constructs.

Life, Longevity, and Google

LIFE, LONGEVITY AND GOOGLE
GOOGLE It seems everyone is getting into the act these days and the bandwagon is bursting at the seems. Research, new companies, interest, investment, futures, are focused on living longer, creating greater human longevity and healthier life spans, and working towards transferring the human mind into the machine for potential immortality.

With Google coming on board and other millionaires across the world investing in new start-up, this is a new topic that's here to stay.

https://plus.google.com/+LarryPage/posts/Lh8SKC6sED1
http://googlepress.blogspot.tw/2013/09/calico-announcement.html

Even Humanoido Labs is at the forefront of experimentation and construction of a vessel cortex, and nearing readiness to conduct a (simplified) human mind to machine brain transfer experiment, showing the potentials of this new burgeoning and immensely profitable technology. Nearly everyone on the planet wants good health, longer life, and a piece of the proverbial cake of immortality.

What if your consciousness can transfer to a humanoid robot with far greater functioning, greater senses, and greater abilities than a human body? As we move closer and closer, walking this path, and as more people come on board to leverage the field, progress will begin to speed up and we will see results shortly. Even this is a long term goal, and research and study is required, the vision is set, and it's only a matter of time.

Brain Cortex Update Part 23

BRAIN CORTEX UPDATE
PART 23
Wednesday November 6th 2013

The state of the Cortex is doing well. We currently have all the parts we think are needed for main assembly. The Propeller chip circuit is expanded. It will take longer to build the complete circuits and do testing.

MOTHERBOARD
The main board is now partially assembled due to the decision to add more circuits and make more changes.

ROUND ROBIN
The round robin arrangement of batteries is being worked out. The idea is to mount ten individual holders without compromising the strength of the jar and maintaining the ability to reach in and change one or more batteries.

DUAL FUNCTIONS
The single board, Propeller driven, will have dual functions. One is for mind functioning. Two is for testing and sensors.

OPTIONS
The Cortex will have options installed: LED, speaker, CaS photo cell. The control panel is currently in the design stage.

DUPE CORTEX
It's decided a Dupe Cortex will be constructed for machine brain to machine brain transfer. This is like a mind meld that backs up data and consciousness the main cortex has. This will ensure the longevity of the cortex whose objective is achieving a kind of immortality.

SOLAR PANELS
Two solar panels are now obtained, one for the main brain cortex and one for the Dupe Cortex and experiments/testing.

EEPROM It was discovered the main board lacks EEPROM so this will need to be installed. Parts on hand will be used and this includes a 32K chip.

MEMORY There is some thought about adding a second 32K chip, bringing the memory total up to 32K ROM, 32K RAM, 32K First EEPROM and 32K 2nd EEPROM. This may or may not happen on the next larger cortex.

CORTEX SCHEMATIC Work is going well on the cortex schematic which is now entering v1.6.

MIND MELD
Main Brain Cortex and Dupe Cortex are designed to mind meld, i.e. transfer the mind of the first to the mind of the second. This ensures longevity and possible immortality.

IMMORTALITY
There may be different definitions of immortal and immortality within this project. Longevity of life may have variance of how far an entity travels forward in time based on the time flow with the passage of events.

TIME TRAVEL TRANSITION LINE
There's a transition line that occurs as the brain cortex time travels into the future, whereby a leap of technology greatly exceeds the brain. There are great ramifications to this effect.

Brain Cortex Uploading Human Mind to Machine Part 20

Humanoido Labs - we've come a long way since the first 340 gram brain in a jar debuted in July of 2011. Seen at left inside the smaller jar, the 128K RAM/ROM award-winning machine brain has two piggybacked Parallax Propeller chips mounted together for full use of sixteen computing cores that run in parallel with 64 I/O pins. During this time period, the objective was creating a brain, giving it some intelligence, making it fit into a jar enclosure, imparting life, and running brain experiments with it. Although a massive 4-pound Skippy peanut butter jar was obtained at Costco, the current series of Cortex brains use store-purchased empty jars of much larger size.
THREE TYPES OF TRANSFER CLASSIFICATIONS
BRAIN CORTEX UPLOADING HUMAN MIND TO MACHINE PART 20

If you could upload a portion of your mind to a machine and live longer, what would you choose to upload, or save from your self and your characteristics to travel into the future?

At Humanoido Labs, work progresses on a cortex brain that will have upload capabilities from a human mind, so the validity of the question becomes plausible. Would you upload your knowledge, i.e. what you know about facts or would you collect and transmit your life's experiences? Perhaps one will care more about uploading personality and values? Or will life experiences become the most treasured part of a human?

— Humanoido Labs is beginning the human mind to machine brain transfer project

THREE KNOWLEDGE TYPES
The brain cortex is considering at least three types of classifications for upload from a human brain. There are three areas for a simplified upload. This includes factual knowledge, personality and experience. While factual knowledge may initially appear less unique to a person's characteristics, it is not. It can certainly be a defining signature based on the type of knowledge one knows and the level and quantity of a particular interest. Personality can include likes and dislikes, viewpoints, philosophy and values. More knowledge and factual material can indicate personality interests about astronomy for example. Experiences can include previous choices made, stories, and things that are selected as one over another due to learned past events.

TRANSFER CLASSIFICATIONS
It's not necessary to upload all three classifications to demo the results. One over the other can be selected, with decisions based on the machine vessel capacity and the machines ability, capacity and characteristic attributes.

INITIAL UPLOAD POTENTIALS
Factual Knowledge
Personality
Experience

ADVANCED UPLOAD OPTIONS
Consciousness
Complete Brain Transfer
Complete Functionality
Ability to Grow after a Transfer

Advanced upload options are currently beyond the scope of this first cortex experiment, however such features may become reality in time.

In brain cortex numeral uno, there's a limited path of uploading, i.e. the entire brain cannot upload due to space and special containment limitations and the cortex does not have enough neural pathways to save the entire human brain. It becomes of matter of what to upload and save, and the quantity of contents that will fit into the machine cortex.

In this example consider 32K RAM and 32K nonvolatile storage. With a constant on power source, the 64K becomes nonvolatile. Then potentials utilize a factor of Xn approach and this becomes 100Xn for one hundred times more capacity for experimenting and transfers. This will increase from over a 100,000 neural net to closer to one million in the future. As the neural net expands, so does the capacity to transfer more and more of the human mind.
