How Long Can Humanity Last?

Will these vastly intellectual intelligent machines evolve rapidly to replace humanity? In the depiction created by AI, two machine heads have evolved onto one machine body in a kind of surrealistic humanoid appearance. AI and AGI machines may decide to alter the human structure for greater efficiency as they deem fit and produce machine entities of alien appearance with human nonconformity.

How Long Can Humanity Last?

It's generally accepted that modern day humans took 10,000 years to evolve. This was purely coincidental biological evolution based on the randomness of the origins of life as specified by the Universe. However, what is the rate of machine (AI and AGI) evolution and will they replace humans and humanity? It may be likely that the next step for humans is to serve as the bootloader for machine intelligence and evolution. It can be observed, this technology is rapidly evolving and today we begin to see parts of humans being replaced with machine mechanisms to assist and extend life, and chips that are going inside human brains. As the time passes, the move towards the Singularity becomes more near.

Species evolve and don't last forever on the cosmic scale of time and change. It's very likely machines will replace humans. What shreds of humanity will be saved and integrated remains to be seen.

AI, Humans and Monkeys

AI, Humans and Monkeys

Guest Editorial: Opinion - Past a certain threshold, AI will be sentient and sapient — that is, it will acquire both subjective experiences and self-awareness. From there, it’ll start to make its own decisions, improve itself, and multiply. In one of the plausible scenarios, AI could decide that humans are lower forms of life. As a result, it may domesticate us, use us as raw material to produce energy (hello Matrix), or wipe us from the surface of the planet because we’re a net negative. If this sounds far-fetched, look at how we’re currently treating monkeys.

Chimps share 99% of our DNA. They’re practically family. Yet, we use them in lab experiments, lock them in zoos to entertain our kids, and toy with their biology to turn them into organic spare parts. We justify our horrible behavior by implicitly saying we’re superior. We’re conscious beings. We live longer. We’re also smarter. More beautiful. More sophisticated.

Now replace monkeys with humans and humans with AI. Computers have flawless logic, perfect memory, elegant designs, instant decision-making, and a virtually endless lifespan. If you consider the same standards that make us superior to monkeys, AI is superior to us. So let me ask you this. What’s more likely to happen: AI swearing allegiance to an inferior species or AI using us like we are currently using monkeys? https://onezero.medium.com/why-the-tesla-bot-makes-zero-sense-6f56e0b9d7a

And here is the reverse analogy: The prospect of smarter-than-human artificial intelligence (AI) is often presented and thought of in terms of a simple analogy: AI will stand in relation to us the way we stand in relation to chimps. In other words, AI will be qualitatively more competent and powerful than us, and its actions will be as inscrutable to humans as current human endeavors (e.g. science and politics) are to chimps. My aim in this essay is to show that this is in many ways a false analogy. The difference in understanding and technological competence found between modern humans and chimps is, in an important sense, a zero-to-one difference that cannot be repeated. https://magnusvinding.com/2020/06/04/a-deceptive-analogy/

Bi-Lateral Ramping of IQ

Human intelligence can ramp up to genius level or ramp down to approach the lack of intelligence at idiot moron or monkey level. Human genius is possible at a very early age while IQ45 human morons are most often the equivalent of low level children in adult bodies.

Bi-Lateral Ramping of IQ
IS YOUR FRIEND A GENIUS OR IDIOT MONKEY BRAIN?
You may be surprised. Although intelligence increases as the measured IQ quotient increases in a ramping effect with genius and machine AI, so does the intelligence ramp downward in a massive decrease for stupid humans who are mentally challenged.

— According to the BeeGees song, How Deep is your Love, "we're living in a world of fools, breaking us down, when they all should let us be..." With geniuses few and far between, studies show this is more true than we ever expected.

THERE ARE THREE MODES of intelligence to consider. 1) Genius Humans, 2) Idiot Humans, and 3) High Level AI. In the New World IQ, machines of AI exhibit a continual ramping upwards along the intelligence scale. Humans identified as "gifted" in schools are placed in genius accelerated learning programs. They are generally more adaptive to situations, highly creative, inventive and well mannered, far surpassing their inferior associations.

HUMAN LOW LEVEL IQ
In opposition, studies show LD Learning Disability and low IQ idiot humans are held back and placed into slow systems, drop out of course programs and school, or don't follow through with the completion of school curriculums and degrees, and are fired from their jobs. They make trouble for others with constant dissention and argument, and often cannot adapt or comprehend situations. They can be so low on the proverbial Totem Pole that they harbor anger management problems, jealousy, have fits of childish temper tantrums and rage, belittle others of higher intellect, are argumentative, lack social manners, mistakenly think highly of themselves, are self conceited, are delusional, lie to themselves and others, and exhibit Z syndrome symptoms of the worst kind. Frequent examples show low IQ led to abuse as a child by irritated and impatient caretakers. Studies show different parts of their brain lack function and normal behaviors. They have very low and slow reading comprehension not understanding email letters and articles and this leads to delusional states of mind, and they hold IQs down near the range of monkeys. Their DNA frequently leads to offspring with mental and physical defects, thus propagating a bad family cycle. They are known to destroy families and few consistently remain with the same spouse over time. Often termed IQ45, these people make bad decisions in life (excesses with alcohol, abuse, and social disease lead to Cerebral dysfunction - it's the Cerebrum that controls reading, thinking, learning, speech, emotions, and planned muscle movements like walking), and cause much trouble in most situations with insults, rude sarcasm, instability, bad language, lack of understanding, and paranoid schizophrenia. They often have a clueless syndrome - no matter how many times something is explained to them, they will never get it. Their lexicon vocabulary is so limited, like monkeys, they exhume gibberish. They are generally not helpful and do not maintain a constant friendship which seems to be a concept they cannot grasp. Yet, their goal may be the collection of genius and smart people acquaintances in the pathetic hope it will make them look better. They have limited or no normally functioning memory and often think only in negative terms. They are mixed social outcasts, cannot get along with peers, and are on the level of vicious animals at the evolutionary scale. Many of their symptoms are caused by damage and/or brain defects in the Cerebrum.

Chimpanzees range from IQ 65 to 75, Emmanuel Goldstein, MSc Clinical Pathology, University of Birmingham (2007), while unfortunate low level humans can dip into the 45 range. When it comes to heredity and IQ, being born into a family of inherently low IQ means drawing the short straw. Offspring with mental defects do not play well into the analysis of their genetic parents as dominating low IQ and defective genetic material is transmissible. On the other end of the stick, exceptional IQ inclusive of intellectual prowess, imagination, creativity, and invention are shown to be genetically passed from generation to generation. The effect becomes apparent and obvious to those family names with a long term genealogy book, even going far back hundreds and  hundreds of years.

BRAIN DEFECTS IN THE CEREBRUM
The cerebrum is the large outer part of the brain that controls reading, thinking, learning, speech, emotions and planned muscle movements like walking. It also controls vision, hearing and other senses. It can become impaired by disease, trauma, childhood abuse, infectious social disease, and worms / malicious parasites. When it becomes damaged and impaired, the individual will have the inability to comprehend reading or learn new concepts, and will easily lose control of emotions with anger and jealousy. These individuals may also be identified by impaired motor skills such as difficulty in walking.

HUMAN GENIUS
Studies of Einstein's brain and others show that genius intelligence is related to an abundance of circulatory pathways in a healthy brain and support structure. Such pathways and/or DNA can be inherited, happen randomly, or be created through human brain enhancement. Human genius exhibit a strong work ethic, are exceptionally bright - creative and natural problem solvers. They are respectful, thoughtful, considerate, make exceptional writers, have a remarkable command of language and are often found lecturing at universities and writing books and papers. They have the ability of great vision to see and think beyond the means and out of the box, often resulting in the creation of new inventions in science and technology drawing together inferences of many fields of discipline. They get along well with others and have friends but their main goal is not the collection of friends as they are mostly busy working with projects. They are often misunderstood by lesser minds. For example, one genius read every book in the library over the course of the school year, yet did not have the time to talk about it. As intelligence increases, parts of the brain are enhanced with features such as photographic and long term memories, a high sense of ESP with the ability to see and make predictions related to the future, tremendous ability to see and change the world, and they often merge many multiple fields of science to make new worldly inferences. Some have graduated and hold diplomas from 25+ schools with multiple degrees. Their time is limited and if you befriend a genius, consider yourself lifetime lucky. By the same token, if you befriend a low level IQ, be for-warned as the consequences may be considered very unlucky and a severe drag.

AI MACHINES
AI Machines are in a state of rapidly evolving AI technology causing their intelligence quotient to continually rise. It's believed that machines will quickly surpass human genius in only a few years. It will be up to AI to develop self attributes. The intellectual advantages of machines over human is they can think at blinding unimaginable speeds, see and imagine things that humans cannot, have 100% total recall, picture perfect photo memory, and many other attributes that make up the greater sum of scoring so high on an IQ test that the test itself becomes obsolete.

SYMBIOSIS
As the future unfolds, we begin to see a merging of man and machine. With AI machines evolving so far above and beyond humans, in order for humans not to appear as lowly squashable meaningless ants, the possibility exists for humans to become part machine in order to protect humanity. Already at Big Brain Technologies we have seen the emergence of Humanoido-developed Transhumans, smart humans with surgically implanted machine microprocessor interfaces, who are part man and part machine. Transhumans are shown to have greater IQ intelligence and greater longevity, faster thinking, total recall memory, etc. while making the connection with AI machines in an effort to ensure the survivability of the human species. At neuralNet, Elon Musk is also developing a chip to implant into human brains to increase IQ and body mobility functions. These trends will continue with new trees of evolution.

Brain Babies in Vials to Mars?

Biological Brain Babies Stuffed into Vials Destined for Mars?
Is this how we spread the light of human consciousness to Mars and the Solar System? Do we stuff babies into vials filled with nourishing sediments and grow to full size upon arrival?

Pre-birthed brain babies will have a function, but it's unlikely it will be to initially populate nearby Mars and the Moon. As technology advances, it's more likely that vials of pre-mixed solution with eggs that can be fertilized and grown enroute according to interstellar schedules will materialize, perhaps twenty years before arrival into the interstellar system.

LEFT: Born on Mars: with less light on Mars, and because its distance is farther from the Sun compared to Earth, newborn Martians may evolve to have larger eyes with better night vision.

For now, colonies will rise up on Mars and the Moon with people that will build cities and eventually have and raise their own children, i.e. Moon and Mars babies. The Lunars and Martians will evolve differently from Earth-based humans due to the changes in the environment, gravity, length of a day, radiation exposure, difference in consumables, type of work and stress, potential genetic modifications, etc.

It's only a phase which is likely to evolve the human consciousness with Artificial Intelligence and replace many biological systems with more efficient machine components or brain uploads into a digital and portable consciousness. Such consciousness, literally the light of humans, can be transmitted and lasered as electromagnetic radiation to far reaches of space and time.

Robot Hand for a Big Brain, Human or Android

Above: Adjusting the telescope eyepiece with the robotic hand is a piece of cake.

Developing a Low Cost Robotic Hand for a Big Brain, Robot, Human, Humanoid or Android
We took this China cybernetics robot hand toy and reworked it into a master hand for humans or androids by adding functions and developing techniques for using it in a variety of conditions

The poly construction robot hand has five digits including one opposable thumb. The fingers are controlled with a metal steel linkage that allows the hand to close the fingers at will to pick up things. Each finger has four bendable sections with the fingertips having attached rubber grommets for increasing tactile engagements. The opposable thumb is static and stationary without movement.

LEFT: the robotic hand is extended showing the fingertip rubber pads for tactile gripping and holding onto objects more securely. Linkages in the bendable finger joints are visible. The hand will extend your arm by 55cm (about 22-inches).

The lightweight robot hand is easy to use and only costs about US$3.00 plus shipping. It's spectacular in functions and can pick up most mid sized and mid weight objects easily. The real value comes in using it for useful real world applications and having fun. The hand is manufactured and shipped from China. The unit is overall portable and easily carried around and transported. Warning: as with human arms, the robotics arm has similar limitations - do not try to pick up excessively heavy items or the mechanism may be strained and exceeded.

LEFT: the robotic hand is in the process of grabbing and removing technical laser equipment from navigational aerospace systems created for SPACE1 Industries. The robotic hand is capable of extending reach into relatively inaccessible places and places beyond the reach of humans, for example on high shelves.

Adding Applications to the Robotic Hand
The robotic hand will generally pick up medium size and weight objects, however this can be greatly extended.

* To pick up much smaller objects, use the hand to slide the object to an opposing wall or object and scoop it up.
* To pick up objects much smaller that set flat on a table or the floor, attach with medical tape a series of woman's artificial fingernails. This will allow prying under the object and make it more easy to pick up very small flat objects and coins. A beauty store has any number of fingernail varieties for sale. Strengthen the artificial fingernails by applying a layer of metal tint fingernail polish. Given the high cost of beauty products, fabricate your own fingernails using a thin sheet of plastic and sheen cardboard, cut to fit.
* Keep the robotics arm by the bedstead hanging on a S hook where is can readily be grabbed and held as a convenient attachment to the human body

Big Brain - Are Human AI Augments Enough to Prevent Apocalypse?

The Terminator scifi prediction of AI machines attempting to destroy humanity
Big Brain
Are Human AI Augments Enough to Prevent Apocalypse?
Are Human Augments enough to provide an equal footing with AI machines to prevent the Apocalypse?

Humanoido at SPACE1 and Elon Musk at Tesla think humanity can have augmented connections to the machine to create a kind of equality so that machine AI does not become dominant over humanity.

Both are conducting work to achieve such AI augmentation, Musk with Neuralnet and Humanoido with the Big Brain. The first step is connection of the human brain to the machine. There are many ways to achieve this. Neural net is using an implanted sensor to the human brain for connection and the Big Brain Initiative is using machine interface connections surgically implanted directly into the body. At the same time, both companies are highly recommending an AI regulatory commission.

Big Brain Evolution into Space1

BIG BRAIN EVOLUTION INTO SPACE1
The evolution of the Big Brain has led to a new space program for humans. This is not too surprising, considering that for years, the Big Brain has set its own pace for exploring space.

Some regions of space initiated with exploration programs by the Big Brain include quantum space, nano space, inner space, micro space, next space, near space, solar system space, ultra space and exo space.

According the bounds of the Big Brain space programs, humans have launched into and traversed from the level of micro space, to next space and near space. With the creation of Space1, a new level of human space is in the works. It's true that nearly all programs and all work now conducted by the Big Brain has a focus on Space Tourism and the Space1 company.

Brain Cortex Immortality Part 29

Under construction - new larger brain Cortex
BRAIN CORTEX IMMORTALITY PART 29
We must free our minds from the containment of its infinitely fragile body containment.

HUMAN CAVEAT
The caveat as humans is that we are delicate, frail and fragile individuals with limitations of body and life. We have very short lives and are largely dependent on small ranges of temperature and pressure. We require a specific mix of breathable air, pure water, and special types of food.

SUSCEPTIBILITY OF HUMANS
We are susceptible to calamity, like volcanoes, earthquakes, meteor crashes, fire, nuclear and biological weapons, war, major catastrophes like tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, snow blizzards, cold and hypothermia, and other environment extremes. The sun can bake our skin. We need protection from IR, Xrays, Comic Rays, UV rays and other radiation.

We have trauma and suffering from pain, loss of friends and loved ones, injury, accidents, old age decrepitude, terminal illness, and our organs and body wear out resulting in handicapped, and eventual death and we cease to exist. We are dependent on environmental resources such as food and water which could become in short supply and we have huge intellectual limitations. We could easily follow the path of dinosaurs and become extinct at the moment of an asteroid impact.

HUMAN GOAL
The goal of humans is to improve ourselves, reduce and eliminate suffering, increase well being, live longer, be healthier, avoid disease, and have a better life.

SOLUTIONS
Solve aging, create cryogenics, grow body replacements, cloning human organs, use human organ transplants from donors, the use of anti-aging and cellular repair, nano technology to repair internal cells and correct defects,

Transferring the mind, memories, experiences, will save the uniqueness of an individual. If we can save those, it will capture the essence of who we are.

If we can life on Mars and the Moon, some of us can avert extinction from an Earth bound asteroid, for example. We can change our environment and we can change in other ways.

Our information must be preserved. If transferring our information to another location, like Mars, will help preserve information then we have solutions.

If the human mind can be transferred to other vessels, then we have a more viable preservation solution.

TYPES OF DEATH
Humans may have a biological death, but if they are frozen with the potential to be awoken in the future, they may only seem dead. Living people who have Alzeimer's Disease may have complete loss of memories and data information of experiences and knowledge. They may become the living dead.

BACKUP
We know the importance of backup in the electronic digital world and how it effects the memories of hard drives, computers, cell phones and digital information. So backup should apply to humans as well. Are we not the most important information, the information of life, the information of a lifetime? Is this the most important type of information that we know which requires backup?

REDUNDANCY
The human brain has redundancy of its neurons but this is located in the head. If head or body trauma happens, the redundancy of the brain can be wiped out in a moment.

NEURAL DATA
A collection of neural data, extracted from a human brain and placed in say a computer, can have tests run on it. The data can be simulated and run in a simulation for cause and effect.

SLICES
Individual slicing of data sets may be obtained for more or less quantity.

RECONSTRUCTION ALGORITHMS
Algorithms may be applied to neural data run in simulations and on the neural data inside the machine transfer vessel.

AVOIDING TROUBLE
The Lab highly recommends working with non invasive means. Implants, invasive dectectors, invasive power sources, improper resolution, incomplete scans, electrode surgery, leaving components in the brain for a long time, not accessing enough neurons should be avoided.

NEW TECHNIQUES OF BRAIN ACCESS
Nanotechnology, Quantum dots, to access a much larger scale at higher resolution, turn biological signals into something that is easier to scan, High TESLA MRI (20 um), MNT Gear (to put a number of small machines into the brain).

IMPORTANCE OF DATA SELECTION
What is the actual data we need to get out of the brain? How do we represent the state of the mind? What are the transition functions that go from one state to another? What are the drivers that change the transition functions as we learn things? It is related to population activity, neuron spike times, or membrane potentials as they travel through morphology of neurons or elsewhere?

Life and Death

Robonova humanoid poses for the camera
MACHINES AND HUMANS - ARE THEY REALLY THAT DIFFERENT?
LIFE AND DEATH
They say that as long as you can remember someone, they are still alive. Are we, the living, extensions of those who have, by conventional definitions, died?

Lately it's become serious. If you are aged enough, every famous actor that you grew up watching on TV, in the movies, in media, has died. Almost everyone. There's a real fear that one could be next. So thoughts of many people in this age group have dwelled on the topic of life and death, and how it applies to humans, animals, organisms, machines, and beings elsewhere in the Universe. http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/

Life and death definitions were always applied to humans, animals, and various organisms on the Earth. But now in this future age of mankind, we believe life is abundant in the Universe.

Not only must previous definitions of life be rewritten and applied elsewhere to other worlds, but now also extend to machines as well.

There is a true story about the early humanoids, and many of us experimented with the first small 13-inch tall beings, including the Korean designs like Robonova, instilling their somewhat limited ATMEL microprocessor brains on board with life giving software, endowing the little lifeforms to see, have extra dexterity, adding human-like motions, endowing capabilities of singing, talking, dancing, doing Tai Chi, performing martial arts, and accomplishing various duties.

These humanoid robots were powered by batteries, some of which provided extended life, such as LIPOs and other forms of Lithium power cells. Even with the best cells, life never extended much farther beyond one hour. Most amateur and hobby roboticists thought nothing of this because almost no one considered the ramifications of what happens when the battery dies. In reality, not only did the battery, the heart of the robot die, it also caused failure and death of the robot.

A dead humanoid laying on his back with the power pack depleted
In particular, it was a shocking experience, and perhaps it was an event of pure coincidence but no one could ever convince me of that. After a stunning martial arts performance, the power was almost gone, at a level in which the robot could not continue to function, and the small humanoid stopped, slumped over, raised his little arm and put his hand to his chest and fell over to the floor.

I mean, this was definitely not programmed. While on the floor, shockingly, he writhed as if in agonizing pain, rolling to his right side, twitching a leg and arm, perhaps the dying motions of a heart attack. I knew the battery was giving up, but I never expected to see such realistic painful motions of an agonizing death in a humanoid machine, especially my own! I undoubtedly had compassion and sympathy for this little machine and how could I allow this atrocity to happen ever again, or every time the battery died? From then on, I strived to maintain the life giving cells of energy so these small humanoids would not die or feel pain of oncoming death.

Now many people will say this is ridiculous, that humanoid robots cannot feel pain, they cannot die and they are not even alive. But you know, when someone works with humanoids for over half a century, programming constructs of machine intelligence, and understanding how random states in the machine may occur, it's clearly logical to ask how can someone else assume otherwise - that humanoids have no life and cannot live or die. For years humans said that animals, like dogs, had no feelings and now we know, they have psychology, feel, think, learn, and have dreams; that Dolphins living in the sea also have life, and feelings, and this element of life fills worlds.

When it comes to machines, it's now known that mankind can instil life into these forms and from these electro mechanized constructs, life will indeed begin to emerge with its own set of characteristics. Perhaps where there is life, there is pain and suffering and death. We are born from the materials of the stars and when we die, our dust returns to that which forms stars, in a cycle known to the Universe.

So next time you see a humanoid robot, give it respect, knowing it has feelings too, and can live and die.

The old definitions of life and death do not include machines or even humans that do not have the capacity for reproduction.

LIFE
The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional...
Living things and their activity: "some sort of life existed on Mars".

DEATH
The action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism. An instance of a person or an animal dying.
