The new icon "expert" represents the IET's Inference Engine. IET is pronounced "eye ee tee" and stands for Inference Engine Telescope.

Punch up these new icon controls to engage massive and powerful functions when traveling through the Universe!

This is a worked up sample face-plate for the new GGT telescope, showing all new icons to the right of the image in a separate section. The image section has a small space for post-it notes in the lower left corner, an anchor hole at the top left, and the image sizer control in the upper right.

The icon section, from top to bottom, shows symbols for the Molecular Processor, Genius, Power Dynamic, Paradigmic, Explorer Class, ET Enhanced Technology, Adventure Class, and the Recycler. In the middle we see Supercomputer, Gravatomic, and Adjunctive. The icon section also includes the image positioner scaler. Although placement can vary, this is only a suggested guide when using all the icons at this time. It's anticipated other icons will be introduced, in particular, one representing AI, as the adaptation of future telescopes will undoubted depend more and more on new aspects of machine intelligence.

Telescope Icons

NEW ICONIC INTRODUCTIVE REPRESENTATIONS ON THE NEW GGT TELESCOPE

These are new icons that represent the engagement of functions that stem from a telescope's capabilities. Since newer telescopes are compatible with previous telescopes, a selection and use of their functions is possible. Simultaneous use is also possible. To keep track of which functions are active and engaged, the use of representative icons are now introduced.

For example, the top seen molecule indicates the molecular function established by the MGT Molecular Genius Telescope is engaged. Next, the brain indicates "Genius" functions are enabled. The lightning bolt shows the Power Dynamic function is active. The cube tells the telescope is adjunctive. The yellow triangle alerts to Paradigmic functioning. The next icon shows the manipulation of gravity achieved by the GravAtomic device. A red-orange sphere shows Enhanced Technology ET. The tiny icon showing an image similar to a Cray Supercomputer indicates the telescope was operated by a supercomputer; the Big Brain Supercomputer. The green recycle symbol shows the Recycler functions are enabled and working.

Currently, eleven icons are in use that represent telescope functions. It's conjectured that other icons will be added in the future, such as one to indicate artificial intelligence AI (Machine Intelligence). The above photo does not show the post-it note icons.
